The Warth Card is free of charge for our guests from just one overnight stay. It enables complimentary use of hiking buses and the summer mountain railway in Warth. This includes:
- blue bus between the Hochtannberg pass/Hochkrumbach and Lech-Rüfiplatz
- Bregenzerwald bus between Schröcken (Unterboden) and Lech-Schlosskopf (above the Hochtannberg pass)
- Lechtal bus from Elbigenalp via Warth to Schlosskopf

Mountain lakes as top hiking destinations
Enjoy the connection between water and mountains at the picturesque mountain lakes at Arlberg Mountain.
- Named Austria's most beautiful place in 2017: Lake Körber at an altitude of 1,675 m. A hiking trail leads directly from our hotel to this jewel of nature.
- Lake Kalbel: On the Hochtannberg pass. You can hike from Lake Kalbel to Lake Körber on a pram-friendly trail.
- Named Austria's most beautiful place in 2015: Lake Formarin at an altitude of 1,793 m. Lake Formarin is located on the Lechweg trail and can only be reached by foot. Take to bus to Lech and then the bus to Lake Formarin. Lechweg. Nehmen Sie den Bus nach Lech und von dort den Bus zum Formarinsee.
- Lake Spuller: The original high moutain lake is the local lake of the famous winter sport resort of Lech and has been a reservoir since the 1920s.
- Hochalp Lake: With a capacity of 170,000 m³ , this lake is the largest reservoir in Vorarlberg and was not completed until 2017. In winter, the Hochalp Lake, at an altitude of 2,000 m, plays an important role for the Warth ski lifts' snow-making system.

Hiking tips
Circular hiking trail through the nature highlights in Warth-Schröcken
The Steffisalp-Express mountain railway, located at the hotel, takes you up the mountain. you will experience the first highlight after only 20 minutes: The vantage point "Spitziger Stein", where you have a great view of Warth, our mountains and the Hochalpsee. Hike further up to 2,050 m to the Saloberkopf and then across the Salobersattel down to the beautifully located Lake Körber. After this nature highlight, continue on to Lake Kalbel on the Hochtannbergpass, where you can enjoy an impressive view of the Biberkopf.
Return to the hotel via the old salt road (Salzstraße) or with the hiking bus.

- Walking time approx. 4 hours
For coinneusseurs: Small village tour of Warth
Take the gravel road opposite the hotel to the right of the Steffisalp-Express valley station. In the 3rd bend, follow the turn-off which leads left above the village back to the center of the village to the St. Sebastian church.
Afterwards, you can enjoy the tranquility at Lake Seeachsee which is located in the center of the village. Wooden loungers on the jetty entice you to relax.
It's a relaxed walk back to the Wellness Hotel Warther Hof.

For experienced hikers: Karhorn via ferrata
Take the Steffisalp-Express mountain railway and hike in approx. 45 min from the mountain station up to the Wartherhornsattel. This is the entrance to th east ridge of the Karhorn via ferrata, which leads you in approx. 2-2.5 hours to the summit which a difficutly level of B-C. Then hike along the normal path on the south side to the Wartherhornsattel.
Experienced via ferrata climbers can also take the west ridge, which offers challenging climbing at difficulty level C-D from the the from the Karhorn summit at 600 m. You should calculate approximately 1.5 hours to the end. From there you follow the path down to the Wartherhornsattel and hike back to the Steffesalp-Express mountain station.
- Walking time total approx. 6-6.5 hours
- Proper climbing equipment is an absolute must.

This makes the hiker's heart smil. One of the most beautiful hiking trails in Austria, honoured by the European Ramblers' Association as one of the "Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe", leads directly past our 4*Superior Wellness Hotel Warther Hof.
Listen to the sound of the rushing watern and follow the Lech River. The wild, romantic nature along the turquoise-blue river lets hikers find rest: from the spring at the nearby Lake Formarin, a natural highlight in its own right, to Füssen in Bavaria, 125 km away.
The stretches around Warth will inspire you with the picturesque location of the emerald-green Lakd Formarin, the fascination high-mountain landscape, the largest ibex colony in Europe, the almost vertically sloping Lech Gorge, the smal mountain streams in the alpine landscape, the little suspensions bridge over the Krumbach River and the beautiful view of the Lech Valley.
